This interactive CD series follows Paws, a signing dog, and his friends as they navigate their diverse neighborhood. It includes 3 engaging, community-focused stories and 10 games. The neighborhood children represent various ethnicities and are deaf or hard of hearing. Users can access information via signing and/or audio. The original stories promote English literacy while teaching essential ASL aspects. Each story can be viewed continuously or controlled by the user. Miriam Morrow, a deaf actress, signs each sentence as Paws. Blue words can be seen individually signed. Each story has three games that enhance skills in categorization, memory, spelling, literacy, visual processing, and creativity. The CD also includes a printable picture dictionary of sign/English vocabulary used in the stories. Children can visit the video store on Woof Woof Way to watch three ASL stories.
